Business Systems Analyst

Pay Rate: $40-$45 per hour

Summary:

Work Mode: 100% Remote
Perform business analysis, business process analysis, and systems analysis to support business improvement, technology enablement, reporting, and implementation initiatives.
Operate at the intersection of business process, requirements, data, system alignment, and stakeholder communication.
Partner with business users, SMEs, technology partners, product teams, data/reporting teams, and other stakeholders to understand business problems and translate business needs into clear specifications.
Support the Strategic Analysis Group work by helping convert business questions and use cases into practical deliverables.
Ensure adherence to company compliance and information security policies, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Participate in business analysis and systems analysis activities to support defined business needs, process improvement, reporting, data, and technology enablement efforts.
Work directly with stakeholders to understand business problems, scope, goals, and desired outcomes.
Support discovery activities through working sessions, interviews, and research.
Translate business needs into business requirements, system requirements, functional and non-functional requirements, data requirements, and technical-ready specifications.
Map current-state and future-state business processes, workflows, dependencies, and change impacts.
Create and maintain analysis artifacts, including process maps, context diagrams, use cases, and requirements documentation.
Conduct data analysis to support decisions and recommendations.
Support solution delivery through documentation, testing support, training materials, implementation support, and post-implementation validation.
Validate and/or create QA test cases and support testing activities.
Provide training and support directly to customers or business partners as needed.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of directly related experience in business systems analysis or a related field.
Ability to analyze business use cases, define problems, and convert needs into actionable requirements.
Working knowledge of business process mapping, workflow analysis, and process redesign support.
Solid requirements elicitation and documentation skills.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical-ready specifications.
Working knowledge of data analysis, reporting concepts, and relational database concepts.
Good written, oral, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Basic to solid understanding of Agile practices, systems analysis, solution delivery, testing, UAT readiness, and implementation support.
Good organizational skills and ability to manage assigned deliverables and timelines.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in Title, Escrow, Real Estate, Mortgage, Financial Services, Insurance, or regulated operations preferred.
Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills preferred; standard MS Visio, Miro, or charting tools required.
Experience using analysis, process mapping, collaboration, reporting, or AI-enabled productivity tools.
