From day one, our goal is to remain transparent, informative, and focused on delivering exceptional, resident-centered care.Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of dedicated nursing professionals at Chicago Ridge SNF. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for organizing and assigning all jobs to be done on your shift, providing exceptional care to our residents, and ensuring that all residents receive the highest quality of care.Responsibilities:Organize and assign all jobs to be done on your shift, ensuring that the workload is evenly divided among your employees based on staff size and qualificationsAdminister medications and care for clinical nursing needs of residents on your wingMake daily rounds on the wing to ensure that individual Care Plans are being followed and assess each resident's status in accord with their Care PlanAssist in updating the Care Plan every 30-90 days depending on the resident's conditionParticipate in staff meetings to keep staff performance at an optimum levelAdminister or supervise all treatments prescribed by physicians, including decubitis care, foley catheter care, hot and cold compounds, intravenous care, and moreReceive or place calls to physicians and transcribe all physician's ordersMaintain accurate and detailed records of resident care and chartingSupervise and direct the nursing staff to ensure that they are providing exceptional care to our residentsEnsure that all medications and treatments are charted by the person administering the medication or completing the treatment on their assigned shiftPrepare incident/accident reports, events, and observations using the EMR systemEnsure that established infection control and universal precaution practices are maintained when performing nursing proceduresFollow established fire, disaster, safety, infection control, and evacuation policies and proceduresPerform other related duties as directed by the DON, ADON, or the AdministratorRequirements:Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Registered Professional Nurse's license in the State of IllinoisMust have working knowledge of general nursingMust possess the ability to make independent decisions and mature judgmentsMust have the ability and willingness to supervise and work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnelMust be able to read, write, and speak English in an understandable mannerMust be physically and mentally capable of performing routine job dutiesMust have compassion, tolerance, and understanding for the elderlyKnowledge of JCAHO, OBRA, IDPH, and HFS regulations related to duties and responsibilitiesIf you are a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse looking for a new opportunity, we encourage you to apply for this exciting role at Chicago Ridge SNF.
