Assembler I (2:00pm to 10:30pm) Gas Final

Assembler IIn this job you will perform a variety of sub-assembly and/or assembly operations of basic complexity. Position is for 2nd shift.As an Assembler I you will:Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materialsPosition parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurementsAssemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassembliesAssist in the building of prototypes and/or other basic assembly projects outside of normal production as neededMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsConserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsContribute to team effort by training others in performance of basic assembly tasks as neededInspect all work and ensure it meets requirements prior to passing it on to the next operationDocument actions by completing production and quality formsWe are looking for someone who:Has a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill developmentIdeally has 0-1 year experience working in a manufacturing environmentIs able to safely use small hand and power toolsIs able to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of MaterialHas basic computer skillsIs able to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in EnglishThe physical demands of the job are:Work is classified as Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational TitlesFrequencies - Occasional (1-33%); Frequent (34-66%); Continuous (67-100%)Lifting Demands:Lift up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis floor to waist with assistanceLift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis floor to waistCarry up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis up to 25 feetPush/Pull up to 40 pounds on a frequent basisPush/Pull more than 40 pounds on an occasional basis with assistancePostural Demands:Standing – continuousWalking – continuousBending/stooping – frequentSquatting/kneeling – frequentLifting – frequentMiscellaneous Demands:Griping, manipulation, fingering –continuousVariable hand/power tool use – frequentTwo-person tasks using assistive devices for lifting, pulling and pushing including engine stands hand trucks, pallet jacks, and hoistsWhat we offer you:Pay Range starts at $20 per hourPlease note the pay information shown above is a general guideline.
