About the Position

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Adult Behavioral Health Unit at Memorial Health Southwest Behavioral Center. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric nursing care to individuals experiencing mental health conditions while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Provide direct nursing care to patients with psychiatric and behavioral health needs.
• Monitor patient behaviors, mental status, and response to treatment.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and document clinical findings accurately.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
• Respond appropriately to behavioral emergencies and crisis situations.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge planning.
• Follow all facility policies, safety standards, and behavioral health regulations.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Previous psychiatric, behavioral health, or mental health nursing experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.
