Step into a fulfilling nursing role supporting two vibrant Chicago campuses, each serving around 500 students. As an on-site Registered Nurse, you'll play a pivotal part in fostering student health, working directly with students and staff in dynamic school environments. This contract position requires recent school nursing experience, ensuring you’re ready to manage the unique needs of a diverse school population.

The assignment involves traveling between two campuses, so comfort with a daily commute is essential. Your expertise will contribute to a caring and responsive health setting, positively impacting the well-being of students from Kindergarten through high school.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• Recent experience working as a school nurse is essential (within the past 1-2 years)
• Proven ability to support the unique medical and emotional needs of school-aged children
• Strong communication skills and the capacity to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
• Ability to multitask and efficiently manage time across two campus locations
• Dedicated to providing compassionate, student-centered care

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a visible, supportive presence at both campuses, delivering day-to-day nursing care for approximately 1,000 students
• Administer first aid, manage medications, and respond quickly to student health concerns or emergencies
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized health plans
• Serve as a resource for staff and parents regarding student health matters
• Keep comprehensive and compliant student health records in line with district and state policies
• Collaboratively support a positive, healthy school environment
