Make a meaningful impact supporting middle and high school learners with complex social-emotional and behavioral needs as a valued mental health provider. Step into an engaging role at a supportive academy focused on students in grades 6-12 who thrive with specialized interventions and care. This contract position offers an immediate start and continues through May 27, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, all onsite at Meridian Academy.
What You’ll Contribute:
- Deliver mental health services tailored to students with significant needs as identified in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate daily with a dedicated team to address social-emotional and behavioral goals
- Lead the evaluation process, participate in IEP meetings, and develop individualized plans
- Serve a focused caseload (currently 23 students, maximum of 30) providing consistent, high-quality care
- Apply expertise in supporting youth with severe behavioral challenges, preferably from facility placements or day treatment backgrounds
- Foster a safe, empowering environment where each student’s potential can flourish
What We’re Seeking:
- CDE authorization as a School Psychologist or School Social Worker
- Active CO DOE SSP (Special Service Provider) License with appropriate endorsement
- Experience working with adolescents exhibiting significant behavioral and social-emotional needs, especially in alternative or therapeutic settings
- Familiarity with IEP processes and compliance
- Readiness to complete district credentialing, background check, and fingerprinting requirements
