Miles City offers a welcoming community, wide-open landscapes, and access to the outdoor beauty Montana is known for. ‍ Position Overview The Mother Baby RN provides comprehensive nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns , including assessments, patient education, medication administration, care planning, and coordination with the multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a passion for family-centered care . Responsibilities Perform ongoing assessments of postpartum mothers and newborns . Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans . Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders. Provide postpartum education and newborn-care instruction to patients and families. Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to providers . Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation . Follow hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety guidelines . Float to other units within scope of practice when needed. Participate in on-call coverage if required. ✅ Requirements Active RN license in the state of practice. Graduate of an accredited nursing program ( ASN required; BSN preferred ). BLS certification – American Heart Association required. ACLS, NRP, and PALS may be required based on unit needs. Previous Mother Baby, Postpartum, Labor & Delivery, or Women's Health experience preferred . Strong assessment, patient education, communication, and critical-thinking skills .
