Travel Nursing Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010 Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing assignment Start Date: October 19, 2026 End Date: January 18, 2027 Schedule: 3 shifts per week Shift Duration: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. Hours: 36 hours per week Unit: Medical-Surgical Patient Ratio: 1:6 Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric patients Electronic Health Record: Evident experience required Travel Nurses: First-time travelers are welcome Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand before the start date; pending licenses are not accepted At least 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience required; 3 or more years preferred Current ACLS and BLS certifications Current PALS certification, which may be completed onsite during the first week Recent experience caring for patients in a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio Proficiency with Evident or a comparable electronic health record (EHR) system Two professional references available at submission Must meet the applicable 75-mile travel radius requirement Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Provide safe, comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to patients across a diverse age range Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and evaluate responses to treatment Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in patient status, including dysrhythmias Manage oxygen therapy, nasal cannula, high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, and CPAP as appropriate Initiate and maintain IVs, care for peripheral and PICC lines, and administer blood products Provide wound care and manage surgical drains, wound vacs, colostomies, and ileostomies Deliver patient and family education while coordinating care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record Collaborate with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and other support departments Apply now for this medical-surgical travel nursing opportunity in Taos, New Mexico, and join a supportive healthcare team for your next assignment.
