We will continue to innovate and do our part to preserve the environment by creating vehicles to reduce carbon emissions.Overview: Assembler of school, activity, and commercial buses.Position Summary:This position will play a pivotal role in the Continuous Improvements Team to bridges the gap between engineering design and operational execution, ensuring that manufacturing processes are efficient, safe, and continuously improving.This position will report to the Engineering Manager.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Process & Resource Optimization: Analyzing labor resources and workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.Technical Support: Assist in the build, installation and revisions of parts and materials as well as troubleshooting issues.Data Analysis: Collecting and interpreting production data to monitor performance and predict potential problems and complete root cause analysisDocumentation: Maintaining detailed records of line performance, part and process modificationsCollaboration: Working closely with engineers, production associates & team leaders, and quality control teams to implement process efficiencies and improvementsCompliance and Safety: Ensuring processes adhere to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standardsEducation and/or Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent required, an associate degree in process technology, engineering, or related field is preferred.Certification in automotive mechanical or electrical systems is a plus2+ years of related experience and/or training preferredEquivalent combination of education and experienceExperience in automotive repairs, production, assembly, or manufacturing necessaryAbility to read and interpret prints, schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documents preferredGood problem-solving skills and attention to detail requiredRequirements:Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and with little supervisionMust demonstrate good time management skillsMust possess strong planning, organizational and execution skillsMust have the ability to set goals and meet deadlinesMust possess excellent internal and external customer service skillsMust demonstrate ownership of assigned responsibilities and ability to get the job done correctly and in a timely mannerMust possess a proactive and positive team approach to problem resolutionMust have the ability to establish strong working relationships with co-workers and managementMust have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formSupervisory Responsibilities: NoWorking Conditions and Environment: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions)Long and varied hours required occasionallyOffice environment consistent with typical office environmentExposure to fumes, chemicals, and toxic items that require training for haz-matTravel: NoPhysical Demands (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions):While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear.
