Position Overview:

We are seeking a responsible, detail-oriented and organized Laboratory Technologist with a Medical Technologist license and experience in hematology and blood banking to join our laboratory team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to various projects and continuous improvement and growth in our laboratory operations encompassing serology, chemistry, ABO and RH Group, phenotypesand more.

Responsibilities:

• Perform blood-typing and testing of samples.
• Record test results accurately in Continental's system.
• Ensure full traceability and document-recall through scanning and verifying important documents.
• Organize, process, and pack donation samples; handle multiple orders simultaneously.
• Aliquot and sort various samples, units, and orders.
• Execute laboratory functions in a proficient way maintaining high quality standards.
• Conduct QC processes and follow SOPs
• Participate in special projects
• Create and check packing lists for accuracy.
• Collaborate with different departments to streamline operations and results.

Requirements:

• Medical Technologist License.
• Strong work ethic; supervisory skills are a plus.
• Prior laboratory experience; knowledge of good laboratory practices is beneficial.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; Spanish fluency is a plus.
• Computer literacy, including Excel and Word.
