Phlebotomist

Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for its Fortuna, California patient service center. The role involves collecting blood specimens using various techniques, processing patient information, and delivering customer service in a fast-paced diagnostic laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for patients of all ages
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests and other analyses
• Enter patient information and maintain specimen logs accurately and timely
• Process billing information and collect patient payments when required
• Prepare collected specimens for laboratory testing and provide customer service

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid California state phlebotomy license
• Ability to pass color blindness screening test
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Capacity to work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime and rotating Saturdays as needed

Compensation: $23.00–$28.00 per hour
