If you are able to work during East Coast working hours, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for the implementation of corporate communications strategies and activities that align to and help advance business objectivesAccountable for strategies and content of all business communications including but not limited to presentations for provider groups, presentations for payors, member communications, newsletters, web content, research results, email marketing, newsletters, event programs, invitations, and other printed collateral and othersReport directly to the Market President to promote brand awareness and consistency across the business but works in close partnership with Marketing department and teamAccountable for developing organizational infrastructure for communications and building and leading processes for internal reviews including but not limited to compliance, legal, business partners etc.Completes end-to-end assessment of all external facing communications, identifying opportunities for consistent content, presentation, and style while focusing on our value propositionManage an annual content update process to review and update business extensive content catalogueWork with the team to ensure alignment of messaging, branding and visual assetsProvide leadership with insights into communication market trends and shifting needsAll staff members are to promote a positive and productive work environment by acting maturely and responsibly, satisfactorily performing his or her job responsibilities and conducting themselves in a professional, courteous and respectful manner toward fellow employees, physicians and patientsMust relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: Get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremePerform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading or speaking with othersRespond openly and appropriately to feedback regarding performance from a supervisorPerforms all duties in a manner which promotes and supports the Core Values and Compact of OptumYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience5+ years of relevant experience of working in in health care communications, particularly working in Medicare Advantage, insurance, or provider-facing rolesFamiliarity with Medicare regulations regarding member communications Demonstrated experience with decision-making., Experience should include in-depth, hands-on exposure in dealing with multiple constituents and customersDemonstrated success working in dynamic, fast-paced environmentAbility to effectively interface with teammates and management.
