Job Summary Under the direction of Branch Management, employees in this position provide banking products and services to new and existing customers. Sales, relationship management, and business development skills are used to generate and nurture business while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of consumer and business deposit products and related services. The role requires adherence to customer confidentiality standards and regulations at all times, including absences from the workplace. Assistance to customers in processing banking transactions is provided. Strong customer service skills are critical, along with sales skills focused on customers’ needs. Pay Details and Work Schedule The typical pay for this position is $19.00 per hour. Individual rates are determined based on various factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. Monday through Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. OR 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Saturday: two rotating Saturdays per month from 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Essential Functions Greets and assists customers and provides general banking services and information while ensuring confidentiality of all transactions. Identifies and acts upon sales and business relationship opportunities. Provides exceptional service to existing or potential customers in person, electronically, by mail or by telephone while adhering to bank standards and policies. Builds customer rapport in compliance with regulations and bank guidelines. Actively seeks opportunities to sell and cross‑sell banking products, financial services, and ancillary services as appropriate. Responds to customer inquiries. Accurately processes the full array of deposit and loan transactions in a secure, confidential manner in compliance with bank policy and regulations. Performs supporting account file maintenance and completes mandatory forms. Completes end‑of‑day procedures and proof of assigned cash drawer, maintaining cash levels within prescribed limits. Completes various tasks including filing, coin rolling, reporting, ATM, ECR, and vault balancing, and cash dispenser maintenance. Opens, onboard, and maintains consumer and business accounts. Maintains knowledge of policies and procedures with respect to wire transfers, approving checks, and overrides. Opens and closes branch office and vault as needed. Provides customer assistance with new accounts, account options, and error resolution. Assists customers with safe deposit access and ensures security procedures are followed. Maintains a complete knowledge of the bank’s product offerings. Conducts consumer loan application interviews, explains policies and terms, reviews applications for completeness and accuracy, and closes loans in branch as necessary. Participates in onboarding and training of employees. Understands and observes all Bank Secrecy Act requirements. Follows all security policies and uses security equipment. Attends mandatory training and completes online assignments for regulatory compliance as scheduled. Assists with preparing daily, weekly, and monthly branch reports as required. Serves as a bank ambassador by participating in external bank‑sponsored events and local networking and business development opportunities. Attends mandatory monthly branch meetings and quarterly retail round‑table branch meetings. Qualifications, Education Requirements, and Preferred Skills High School diploma or equivalent. Experience in a successful sales and service environment preferred. Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, sales/business development, and organizational skills. Familiar with PC and tablet technologies. Ability to perform basic math functions. Ability to read and interpret documents such as memos, disclosures, training manuals, help screens, and policy and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers of the bank. Working Conditions Typical office environment with moderate noise levels. Physical Demands : Regular use of hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; stand and walk. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment : Office environment.
