Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of dedicated surgical experience and confident circulating skills across multiple surgical specialties.

Details

13-week travel assignment in the Operating Room on day shift (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday-Friday)

Shift times may vary and include early starts (as early as 6 AM) and rotating late ends depending on case load

OR includes 8 regular beds, 2 cysto, 1 endo, and 2 C-section beds

Uses PICIS EMR system

Call required 2 days per week as first call or backup, plus one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

No floating required

Requirements

Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand

Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS

2+ years of dedicated surgical experience required

Circulating experience across General, Orthopedic, Robotic, Urological, OB/GYN, Podiatry, ENT, and Plastics specialties required

Must be able to manage sterile and non-sterile OR environments

Must coordinate patient care, safety, and workflow across the entire perioperative period

Scrub and First Assist experience preferred

Additional Information

Responsibilities include circulating duties and coordinating care throughout the perioperative period

Hospital provides green scrubs

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local travelers will not be considered

Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered

RTO requests must be submitted with a sub and must be less than 1 week

Candidates must have no employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
