ARMStaffing is looking for a Respiratory Therapist, Adult Critical Care (Night Shift) in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

This role requires weekend work every other weekend, with 3x12-hour shifts (Night Shift).

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care and management to adult patients in critical care settings. Responsibilities include ventilator management, airway management, and performing therapeutic procedures as part of a multidisciplinary care team. Experience in handling complex cases such as ARDS, aspiration, pneumonia, and COVID-19 is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators and provide respiratory therapy techniques including BiPAP, CPAP, and IMV.
• Perform extubation and assist with intubation, including airway placement and suctioning.
• Conduct diagnostics such as arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and bronchoscopy.
• Ensure maintenance of high standards of patient care while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Collect sputum specimens and provide tracheostomy care and management.

Required Experience

Candidate must have a minimum of 1.5 years of strong overall experience in adult ICU settings, including preferred experience in Emergency Department (ED), PICU or NICU.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active New Jersey license required.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, RRT (CRT not accepted).
