Staff Accountant/Tax Preparer

Job Description
- Handle bookkeeping, monthly close, bank reconciliations, and financial statements in Quickbooks Online.
- Clean up and reconcile client books ahead of tax season.
- Work directly with clients to gather documents, answer questions, and explain results.
- Quickbooks Online ProAdvisor certification or willingness to recertify within 30 days.
- Prepare federal and state individual income tax returns, Form 1040 and supporting schedules.
- Prepare corporate and pass-through returns, including 1120, 1120S and 1065 returns
- 2+ years of experience preparing both individual and business tax returns.
- Support payroll and sales tax compliance.
- Draft replies to IRS and state tax notices.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several client deadlines at once.
