About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Circulator Profession: RN Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: (3) 12-hour Days, (1) 12-hour Weekend Shift every 5 weeks, (1) 12-hour Call Shift every 8 weeks Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years, Operating Room experience required License: Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Operating Room experience, with 40% of volume being ortho Description: Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Responsible for patient preparation, room readiness, opening supplies, and charting. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the assigned unit or department. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required. A bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
