Dietary Coordinator

Responsibilities Provide quality food service to patients, employees, guests, and affiliated programs, including Patient Services and Retail. Oversee workflow throughout the department on a daily basis, focusing on meal service timelines and accuracy. Participate in departmental quality assurance, safety, and sanitation activities. Train staff on ongoing basis and support onboarding of new employees. Obtain patient meal orders and build/pass/pick up patient trays. Ensure patient diet validation and diet compliance. Oversee patient meal accuracy and support communication of department directives. Attend department meetings and contribute to the development of the department and self. Participate in peer selection processes for potential employees. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. One to three years of food service experience in a hospital setting. Obtain ServSafe Certification within one year of obtaining the Diet Coordinator title. Complete peer interview training within 60 days of obtaining the Diet Coordinator title. Complete Special Diet & Allergy training and pass competency exam within 60 days of obtaining the Diet Coordinator title.
