Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid certification as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT required)
• New York State Respiratory Therapy license (or eligibility)
• Experience in patient assessment, diagnostic testing, and cardiopulmonary care
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment

Responsibilities:

• Assess, treat, and care for patients of all ages experiencing respiratory illnesses or disorders
• Perform and analyze diagnostic testing and exams
• Setup and use cardiopulmonary equipment essential for patient care
• Accurately document and report symptoms, reactions, and patient progress
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments; execute airway management (including endotracheal intubation, extubation, tracheostomy care, pulmonary hygiene)
• Provide emergency life support when necessary
• Educate patients and contribute to community outreach initiatives related to pulmonary health
