Personal Care Assistant

The Personal Care Assistant role involves providing essential in-home care services to clients, adhering to individualized care plans, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. Responsibilities include assisting with personal hygiene , grooming , ambulation , meal preparation (including special diets), and supporting clients with self-help activities . Assist with limited transfers , standby transfers , and using specialized equipment such as walkers and wheelchairs. Ensure safety protocols, infection control, and client confidentiality are maintained at all times. Document daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets, and notify supervisors of any changes in client condition or safety concerns. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of validated caregiving experience . Skills required include strong communication, adherence to safety procedures, and respect for client privacy . All tasks must be performed within the scope of practice, with guidance sought for unclear instructions.
