TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER

Technical Project Manager OpportunityThe client is seeking a techno-functional Project Manager with strong experience in:Stakeholder management and client-facing communicationProject scheduling and documentationCross-functional team collaborationVendor managementManaging multiple technical projects simultaneouslyWorking closely with system administrators, business analysts, and technical teamsThe organization is currently transitioning from JD Edwards to Oracle ERP, so candidates with ERP implementation experience, Oracle Cloud experience, and Oracle solution delivery experience will be highly valued.Position Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:Vendor management.Cultivate collaborative relationships among project stakeholders.Develop project plans and schedules with well-defined milestones and present project plans to senior leadership for comment and approval.Manage communication of project status within the project team and external to the project team (vendors & stakeholders); escalate issues as necessary.Assess project quality and value through monitoring of incoming deliverables in comparison to Prince William Water's business requirements.Develops tools and processes to improve project value.Identify and manage changes to scope, schedule, and budget.Manage project progress and report performance to senior leaders.Identify and manage project risks, define opportunities for improvement, and work with the project team and senior leaders to establish remediations.Manage project governance & control processes to enable effective escalation and decision-making processes.Work with senior leaders to support annual planning activities such as project identification, prioritization, and planning.May be deemed essential at any time.Perform other duties as assigned or required.Essential Competencies:Knowledge of principles, concepts, and practices of project management and use of information technology, rules, and regulations related to assignment; modern office procedures and practices; computer equipment and software applications related to assignment; business mathematics; and English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.Proven experience leading Project Management Information System acquisition planning and deployment.Strong project and program management skills demonstrated through relevant professional experience.Effective communication and stakeholder management skills with a focus on collaboration, team building, and customer service.Effectiveness of working diplomatically across teams with varying objectives.Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office software tools including project management.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Minimum Education and Work Experience:Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.At least three years of experience as a project manager within the field of Information Technology and/or Information Management.Or a combination of education and experience as described above.Required Licenses/Certifications and Other Special Requirements:Project Management Professional (PMP) credential offered by the Project Management Institute upon hire or required to obtain and maintain within one year of employment in this position.
