Lead Accountant

As an Investments team member, you’ll play a key role in the innovative investment strategies that enable our company and our financial products to serve our customers and their families when they need us most – now and in the future. What you bring ● Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related discipline ● CPA is preferred ● 2-5 years of U.S. GAAP and/or U.S. Statutory accounting and reporting experience ● Oral and written communication skills ● Ability to build and maintain working relationships across cross-functional groups and communicate complex information clearly ● Ability to balance multiple projects at once and prioritize appropriately ● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills ● Outstanding communication and presentation skills ● Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities

salary: $45 - $48 per hour

Responsibilities

● Support accurate U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory accounting and reporting for the
organization’s Alternative Assets investment portfolio, supporting large scale projects,
developing and maintaining robust internal controls framework
● Evaluate system outputs to ensure appropriate accounting treatment for our
alternative assets portfolio
● Research and review of accounting guidance to assess existing processes –
identifying potential efficiencies and/or gaps in current business processes
● Perform assigned accounting responsibilities, including account reconciliations,
transaction reviews, loan pricing analysis, real estate owned accounting, and journal
entry and financial reporting preparation.
● Partner with the Finance Teams across all product lines and assist in the development
and execution of Investment strategies

● Collaborate cross-functionally to create efficiencies and deliver superior business
results
● Support accounting policy implementation and strategic business process redesign
efforts
● Help maintain SOX controls documentation and evaluate deficiency risks through on-
going review and validation of key operational processes
● Perform other duties as assigned
