Job Overview

Our organization is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to become part of our team at the Bethesda MACC - Therapy. The ideal applicant will hold a valid physical therapy license and possess a strong foundation in general physical therapy practices. Candidates should demonstrate a variety of evaluation and treatment techniques, along with excellent customer service skills for engaging with patients and their families from diverse backgrounds.

The Physical Therapist will deliver comprehensive physical therapy services, which encompass screening and evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, patient re-evaluation, discharge planning, and thorough documentation across various settings. Additionally, the therapist will contribute to program planning and protocol development as needed, supporting the team in achieving set objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct evaluation services, including reviewing relevant historical data, performing specific assessments, and documenting recommendations and results. Clearly communicate evaluation outcomes and treatment plans to patients and their families, involving them in goal-setting.
  • Exhibit expertise in executing treatment protocols based on evaluation results, patient presentations, and the dynamic healthcare landscape. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary. Identify and document any changes in the patient's condition that may require adjustments to the care plan or additional medical/rehabilitation consultations.
  • Complete necessary discharge planning and follow-up care. Ensure accurate and timely documentation and billing for patient care activities, reflecting the patient's care journey, including initial evaluations, daily notes, interim progress reports, and discharge evaluations.
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills and meet productivity targets. Maintain an organized schedule. Show a professional commitment to facilitating seamless patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and empathetic behaviors in a patient-centered environment.
  • Take the initiative in pursuing continuing education for personal and organizational growth. Act as a clinical instructor for students and assist in the orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, volunteers, and technicians.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Licensure in Maryland, the District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia as required for your specific location(s).
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
Compensation

This position offers a salary range of USD $74,214.00 - USD $134,596.00 per year.
