Senior Accountant – Global Consolidations

North Suburbs of Chicago | Hybrid

A large, global manufacturing and distribution company operating in 100+ countries is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its consolidations and financial reporting team. This is a highly visible seat at the center of the monthly global close.

It's a strong opportunity for an accountant with 2+ years in reporting or consolidations who wants exposure to M&A integration, legal entity restructurings, and the redesign of a large, complex reporting function.

What You'll Do:

• Support the monthly global close, consolidation, and financial reporting across a complex multi-entity structure
• Prepare topside journal entries, intercompany eliminations, and investment eliminations
• Review intercompany balances and reconciliations, and help strengthen intercompany controls and processes
• Build reports and maintain consolidation modules within the company's Oracle-based consolidation platform
• Assess the impact of new accounting and reporting rules on systems and support new standard implementations
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury on internal and external reporting needs
• Support key projects including acquisitions, divestitures, internal reorganizations, and system integrations
• Prepare deliverables for auditors, lenders, sponsors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• 2+ years of accounting experience in financial reporting, consolidations, or technical accounting
• CPA strongly preferred
• Solid working knowledge of US GAAP
• Intermediate Excel (index/match, pivot tables, nested IFs) and comfort with large data sets
• Public company or Big 4 experience with public clients preferred
• Experience with a consolidation system (Oracle EPM, Tagetik, BPC) a plus
• Multinational, multi-entity environment experience a plus
• Cash flow statement, Alteryx, or Tableau experience a plus
