About the Position

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – North Carolina**Start Date:** August 24, 2026**Location:** Asheville, North Carolina**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** Every other weekend required; scheduling based on department needs with flexibility to work all sections of the Emergency Department**Highlights:**- Join a 101-bed Emergency Department serving as a regional referral center for Level II trauma, comprehensive stroke care, and pediatric subspecialties- Work in a high-volume environment serving over 100,000 annual visits with a diverse, multi-cultural community- Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical cases; utilize Cerner documentation system and current equipment including Baxter pumps and GE monitors- Department recognized for exceptional teamwork, welcoming culture, and commitment to nursing excellence- Full support staff including techs, unit clerks on all shifts, and cardiac monitoring specialists- Opportunity to work in all areas of the ED with no floating required outside the department**Requirements:**- Active Registered Nurse license- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting- Previous experience in a Level II trauma center and high-volume Emergency Department strongly preferred- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire- Strong teamwork mentality with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback- Flexibility to work across all Emergency Department sections**Why It's a Great Opportunity:**This Emergency Department is nationally recognized for clinical excellence and patient safety achievements, serving as the region's premier referral center.
