Project Safety Manager

At BAMCo , safety is at the core of everything we do. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of safety protocols across all company locations. This role will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment through proactive training, policy development, incident management, and compliance oversight. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and hands‑on leader with a passion for building a culture of safety and accountability. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs across all BAMCo operations Conduct regular audits, inspections, and job hazard analyses to identify and mitigate risks Lead and manage safety training programs for new hires and current employees Respond to incidents and accidents, leading investigations, root cause analysis, and resolution processes Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, inspections, and corrective actions Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other applicable safety regulations Collaborate with shop managers, field teams, and executive leadership to drive safety improvements Recommend and lead initiatives for continuous safety process improvement and risk reduction Serve as point of contact for regulatory agencies and internal safety reporting What We’re Looking For Associate degree or higher in occupational health, safety management, or related field 3–5 years of experience in a safety management or EHS (environmental health & safety) role, preferably in transportation, fleet services, or industrial operations Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and industry safety standards Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to conduct engaging and effective safety training sessions Proficient in using technology to manage training records, audits, and incident reports Clean driving record and ability to travel to BAMCo locations as needed Benefits Health, Dental, and Life Insurance Paid Time Off Birthday Holiday Retirement Savings Plan Level Up Skill Training and Tuition Reimbursement Competitive salary with performance incentives Company vehicle or mileage reimbursement for travel Opportunities for certification, training, and professional growth A safety-first culture with leadership support A chance to make a direct impact on the health and success of our people and business Work Arrangement Hybrid with travel to company locations as needed Locations Omaha, NE #J-18808-Ljbffr
