Delivery Assistant

Location: TOPEKA, KS 66618

Pay Rate: $16.50/hr

Shift: Monday-Friday 5am-Finished (usually around 9 hours)

Description: Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist the delivery driver in loading, unloading, and delivering products to designated locations in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure all products are handled with care and delivered without damage.
• Verify and check the accuracy of delivery orders against invoices or delivery documents.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries or concerns during deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Assist in navigating routes and ensuring deliveries are completed as scheduled.
• Follow company policies and procedures related to safety, delivery protocols, and product handling.
• Report any delivery issues, delays, or vehicle malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  
  
  Qualifications & Requirements
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items as required for loading and unloading.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and customers.
• Basic understanding of delivery documentation and the ability to verify orders.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to physically demanding tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
