Job Opportunity – Women & Infant Float Pool RN – Ohio

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Call and weekend coverage required. Float rotation between Labor & Delivery, Maternal Special Care, and Postpartum units.

Highlights:

• Level 4 Maternity Center providing comprehensive maternal and infant care
• Float assignment across three dynamic women's health units: Labor & Delivery, Maternal Special Care, and Postpartum
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Opportunity to work with diverse patient populations including high-risk antepartum, multiple births, and low birth weight infants
• Comprehensive orientation provided to support successful transition
• Professional development in maternal-newborn nursing specialty areas

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
• Preferred Certifications: AWHONN Advanced, Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) experience
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
• Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process required upon contract signing
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Previous charge experience preferred

Clinical Skills:

• Labor & Delivery: Electronic Fetal Monitoring, Pitocin administration, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, epidural management
• Antepartum Care: High-risk obstetrics, non-stress tests, pregnancy-induced hypertension, magnesium sulfate therapy
• Postpartum Care: Couplet care, breastfeeding instruction, newborn assessment, postpartum hemorrhage management
• Specialized Skills: IV therapy, central line maintenance, insulin drips, blood product administration, pain management
