GIS Coordination Support Specialist :: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)

GIS Coordination Support Specialist Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid) Duration: 5+ months Seeking a GIS Coordination Support Specialist to assist the GIS Coordination Program Manager in implementing Geographic Information Coordinating Council (GICC) initiatives. This role involves administrative support for subcommittees and technical support for working groups. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Program Manager to plan, develop, and evaluate Council policies, strategies, and initiatives. Responsibilities:
- Write charters, technical reports, updates, minutes, framework dataset schemas, and website designs.
- Research technical solutions and create/update geospatial datasets.
- Create online content including applications and websites.
- Compile data from multiple sources and automate data edits using scripting or automation tools.
- Quality check data for publication.
- Communicate with working group members to document application or website needs and report solutions.
- Experience using Esri's ArcGIS Desktop suite of applications, including ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro (3 Years).
- Strong understanding of how to edit and maintain GIS data in the Esri ArcGIS suite of products (3 Years).
- Expertise in data visualization and cartography for effective communication (3 Years).
- Experience in an SDE versioned multi-user environment (3 Years).
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geospatial workflows and solutions (3 Years).
- Exposure to online mapping tools and knowledge of OneMap (3 Years).
