About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Culinary Director/Manager to lead and inspire our culinary arts program for students from PreK through High School in Franklin Square, NY. This is a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of culinary talent by building a dynamic, hands-on curriculum across all grade levels. If you love food, education, and making a lasting impact on young people, we want to hear from you!
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive culinary arts curriculum for PreK through High School students
- Manage and mentor culinary arts instructors and kitchen staff across multiple grade levels
- Ensure kitchen facilities, equipment, and food inventory are properly maintained and stocked
- Coordinate culinary events, demonstrations, and student showcases throughout the school year
- Enforce food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards in compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with school administration to align culinary programming with educational goals and budgets
- Evaluate student progress and support age-appropriate skill development in culinary techniques
- Proven experience in culinary arts education, food service management, or a related field
- Strong leadership and team management skills with experience supervising staff
- ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety credential required
- Ability to develop age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans for diverse grade levels
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional culinary experience preferred
- Passion for working with children and young adults in an educational environment
