Schedule The schedule for 3rd shift from 11p-7:00a. Per Diem Security Overview: We are looking for a dedicated security officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The security officer’s responsibilities include patrolling the hotel grounds, monitoring property access, investigating suspicious behavior and enforcing company policies. You will need to be highly observant and able to objectively assess the severity of a situation while being calm and decisive in any situation. Responsibilities include: Inspecting and patrolling the premises regularly. Reviewing Monitors Assist the front desk with guest requests. Assist guests with luggage delivery. Assist and log incoming packages. Follow Waterford Hotel Group's incident reporting procedures. Greet each guest in a courteous and professional manner. Report suspicious behavior to appropriate management. Communicate with law enforcement if necessary. Monitor public access and ensure the security of all personnel and visitors. Respond to alarms and noise complaints. Investigate suspicious behavior and incidents. Maintain an activity log and prepare surveillance reports. Adhering to company policies and legal regulations. Job Requirements Must possess, or be able to obtain, the CT State Security Guard Certification and CPR card. A minimum of 1 year in a similar security position. Have a keen eye for detail, time management and great customer service skills. Must be able to complete multiple tours throughout the building + walk all floors. Pleasant and friendly demeanor. Able to work as a team and independently. Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards. Physical mobility and stamina. Ability to follow instructions. Complete security reports in a timely and accurate manner. Pass a background check and be drug free.
