Diesel Mechanic

About the Role:
GD Mobile Truck Repair Inc is looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Brewerton/Syracuse, NY! This is a hands-on opportunity to work on heavy-duty trucks and equipment with a company that keeps the transportation industry moving 24 hours a day. Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks and heavy-duty vehicles
Perform engine overhauls, transmission repairs, and drivetrain servicing
Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and routine service checks
Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
Repair or replace brakes, suspension components, and steering systems
Document repair work, parts used, and service records accurately
Ensure all work meets safety standards and DOT compliance regulations
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy-Duty Truck Technician
Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, electrical diagnostics, and hydraulics
Ability to use diagnostic software and tools (e.g., J Pro, Cummins Insite, Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Link)
ASE certification or equivalent trade school training preferred
Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus
Own a basic set of mechanic's tools
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
