Product Support Engineer III

The SNC TRAX (Tactical Radio Application eXtension) Program Tactical Datalinks Product Support Engineer (TDL PSE) must have an advanced understanding of the fundamentals of tactical datalinks and how to integrate them into military operations. An advanced understanding of tactical air and ground communications and a basic understanding of networking operations is a must. Must be able to understand customer requirements and develop robust Tactical Datalinks hardware/software solutions to fully support the mission Tactical Datalink capability. Must be expert in Link-16, Mobile Adhoc NETworks (MANET), TRAX, and various other protocols/military tactical data links. Must be able to possess a DOD clearance specific to the contract, be able to obtain the applicable medical examinations for deployments and be willing to fly on military aircraft in support of operations around the globe. Responsibilities The TRAX Tactical Datalinks Product Support Engineer is expected to be intimately familiar with all aspects of operation and employment of the equipment specified under the field service contract. Stateside travel is required up to 50% annually (Training, Exercise, and Integration support to end users). Expect OCONUS deployment (hostile/incentive pay in accordance with DoS rates if applicable) annually in intervals of up to 90 days. Primary management office is located in Southern Pines, NC. Place of duty will be in Southern Pines, NC with 50% travel. Qualifications – Must Have Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or 8+ years of relative experience. Full understanding of military operations. Stateside/International travel required up to 50% annually (Training, Exercise, and Integration support to end users). Potential OCONUS deployment to austere locations (hostile/incentive pay in accordance with DoS rates) in intervals of 90 days deployed. Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. Active passport or the ability to immediately obtain one. Qualifications – Prefer Thorough knowledge of tactical datalink hardware/software such as AFATDS, TRAX, ADSI, WinTAK, or Harris CPA. Direct experience with Targeting/Fires/Communications/TACP operations. Current Security+ certificate. Current Network+ certificate. Essential Functions Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Hand/finger dexterity for operating computer equipment. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally. Capability to work in an office or hybrid environment. Occasional travel may be required.
