About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Infusion Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years pediatric nursing experience, with at least 1 year in oncology or 2 years of other directly relevant clinical experience. License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: AHA BLS, APHON Provider certification Must-Have: Pediatric oncology experience and APHON certification required. Description: The Pediatric Infusion Center services a specialty population. Treatments include apheresis, chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, blood transfusions, hydration and electrolyte therapy, injections, blood draws, enzyme and iron infusions, and antibiotics. The center consists of 13 chairs/beds and includes both research and standard of care infusions. The team is comprised of Nurses, Medical Assistants, and a Practice Coordinator. Experience in infusion is preferred. Ideal candidates will have 3 or more years of pediatric oncology experience and CPHON certification. Candidates must be able to float to other facilities and be prepared to work in different units as needed. References from recent employers are required prior to submission. COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exemptions considered for medical or religious reasons. Strong skills in antiemetics, blood glucose monitoring, dressing changes, and venipuncture are essential. Candidates must adhere to universal precautions and biohazard waste disposal protocols. Experience in triage and urgent care is also beneficial.
