The Cosmetology Instructor/Teacher will be responsible for educating diverse groups of students, including adult learners, high school, and vocational school students, in the field of cosmetology. This role involves delivering comprehensive lessons using standard cosmetology supplies and digital teaching platforms, managing large classes, and ensuring all students receive hands-on training and mentoring. The instructor will maintain safety compliance, evaluate student progress, and engage in continuous professional development, including opportunities for leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons tailored to adult and vocational students in cosmetology
• Evaluate student progress through practical examinations and ongoing feedback
• Demonstrate techniques effectively using hands-on training and digital platforms
• Manage classroom environment for large groups (20+ students) efficiently
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
• Maintain product knowledge to support instruction and student learning
• Mentor students and provide individual support to enhance skills
• Keep accurate records of student performance and attendance
• Communicate effectively with students, peers, and administration
• Participate in professional development and leadership opportunities

Required Qualifications

• Certified Cosmetologist license

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in cosmetology practice
• Expertise in cosmetology techniques
• Knowledge of textured hair care and styling
