Pay: $14.00–$16.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Saturday, scheduled shifts based on clinic needs

Mana Springs Psychiatric Care is an outpatient mental health practice dedicated to providing compassionate, professional, and patient-centered psychiatric and behavioral healthcare. We are seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated Medical Office Assistant to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, comfortable working with patients from diverse backgrounds, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a busy healthcare environment.

Patient Services and Front Office

• Greet patients and assist with check-in and check-out.

• Answer incoming calls, respond to messages, and direct inquiries appropriately.

• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.

• Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation.

• Collect copayments and patient balances as directed.

• Maintain an organized and welcoming reception area.

• Assist patients with completing required forms and screening questionnaires.

Administrative and Insurance Support

• Enter and update patient information in the electronic health record (EHR).

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.

• Assist with prior authorizations for medications and services.

• Process medical records requests and release-of-information forms according to practice policies.

• Manage incoming and outgoing faxes, scanning, and document uploads.

• Communicate with pharmacies, insurance companies, and other healthcare offices regarding administrative matters.

• Support providers with scheduling, paperwork, and routine administrative needs.

Basic Patient Care Support

• Obtain and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, and weight, after completing required training and competency verification.

• Prepare examination rooms and maintain supplies.

• Distribute and collect patient screening questionnaires.

• Promptly communicate abnormal vital signs or patient concerns to the appropriate licensed provider.

• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and confidentiality protocols.

Teamwork and Professionalism

• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.

• Demonstrate consistent attendance, punctuality, and professionalism.

• Complete assigned tasks accurately and within established deadlines.

• Communicate effectively with providers, coworkers, and patients.

• Follow established office procedures and assist with daily clinic operations.

• Perform other related duties within training, competency, and applicable scope requirements.

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn EHR software.

• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

• Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy.

• Professional demeanor and respect for patient confidentiality.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Willingness to learn basic clinical support procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical office, behavioral health clinic, or customer service setting.

• Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance verification, and prior authorizations.

• Experience using electronic health records.

• Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician training is a plus but not required.

• Starting pay: $14.00–$16.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

• Formal performance evaluation after 90 days.
