Salary Range: $73,000 - $112,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Rockford that are seeking Applications Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define application requirements and specifications.
• Develop and implement software solutions for production equipment and processes.
• Conduct testing, validation, and optimization of manufacturing software applications.
• Document application designs, configurations, and operating procedures.
• Train end-users on new and updated manufacturing applications.
• Monitor application performance and identify areas for improvement.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred) or related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in applications engineering, technical sales, or field support for manufacturing equipment or software.
• Proven ability to analyze customer requirements and propose technical solutions, often involving complex machinery or automation.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including but not limited to CNC machining, robotics, or additive manufacturing.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex technical information to diverse audiences.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software.
• Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, or other automation technologies.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, or additive manufacturing.
• Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB) for optimizing manufacturing processes.
• Project management experience, particularly in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
