Human Resources and Labor Relations Manager

We are seeking a skilled, experienced, detail oriented Human Resources Manager with a strong focus on employee and labor relations to manage a unionized hourly workforce at our distribution center, plus a field-based non-unionized workforce. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain positive labor relations, collaborating closely with union representatives to address any issues that arise within the distribution center. Manage employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, and other issues, ensuring prompt resolution and fostering a positive work environment, especially within a large unionized hourly workforce. Become the point person for non-union supervisory and field workforce for any HR related matters. Facilitate performance management and oversee employee benefits programs, acting as the primary contact for questions or escalations related to these areas, and promoting continuous learning and growth. Ensure legal compliance throughout human resources management, staying updated with the latest NJ and NY employment law regulations and maintaining strong labor relations. Be onsite regularly, walking the floor and being a visible and positive representative within the workforce to build trust and engagement. Requirements 5+ years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist or Manager in an industrial setting, with 1+ year experience in a unionized setting. Proven ability to implement HR strategies that align with business goals and enhance employee engagement. Strong knowledge of labor law and HR best practices to ensure compliance and effective labor relations management. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills to build positive relationships across all levels of the organization. BS/MS degree in Human Resources or a related field, with additional HR certifications being a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
