About the Position

Job Title: RN - OR Circulator Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Circulator Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Evening Hours per Shift: 8 hours (multiple shifts) Experience: One year of full-time experience in the operating room is required. License: Current Registered Nurse license required. Certifications: Basic Life Support certification required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification preferred. Certified Nurse, Operating Room preferred. Must-Have: Education: Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent required. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and equipment operation in the operating room. Competence in pre, intra, and post-procedure patient care planning and assessment is essential. Description: This position assists surgeons and anesthesiologists and coordinates the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff during surgical procedures. The RN ensures patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care. Participation in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment is essential. The RN must prepare patients for surgery, including appropriate anatomical positioning. Competence in safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials is required. The RN should use facility information systems to retrieve and utilize pertinent patient care information. Demonstrating knowledge and skills related to patient safety and emergency preparedness is crucial. The RN will document temperature of tissue and verify package integrity as part of the role. Efficient use of downtime for job-related tasks is expected. Additional job-related duties may be assigned as necessary. The organization is committed to the safety and well-being of all associates.
