RN - Postpartum Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour rotating nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current RN license Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification Must-Have: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Description:Registered Nurse I (RN I) is a compassionate, licensed professional.Delivers safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care through the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.Coordinates individualized patient education.Guides and supervises ancillary team members.Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams.Consistently upholds professional nursing standards.Conducts thorough patient assessments.Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized care plans.Delivers direct patient care across the lifespan while promoting optimal health outcomes.Provides clear, culturally sensitive education to patients and families.Supports health literacy and successful transitions of care.Directs and supervises licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and other ancillary personnel.Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.Collaborates effectively with physicians, therapists, and the broader care team.Participates in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and ongoing professional development.Floats to other departments as needed, with appropriate orientation and training.Performs additional duties as assigned to support hospital operations and patient needs.Education and clinical experience must provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for the assigned department.Possesses excellent interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills.Ability to deliver compassionate, culturally competent care to patients of all ages.Demonstrates strong team player qualities with flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.Commits to professional growth and lifelong learning. Physical, Environmental & Psychological Considerations: Frequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, infectious diseases, and biohazardous materials.Work occurs primarily in a temperature-controlled hospital setting.Occasional exposure to varied sounds, odors, and emotionally challenging situations.Must be physically able to lift, position, and transfer patients using proper body mechanics and assistive equipment.Ability to work effectively under stress and respond calmly to emergencies.Maintains strong problem-solving and coping skills.Demonstrates team-oriented, adaptable, and resilient qualities in dynamic clinical situations. Department-Specific Qualifications: Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required.OPS Emergency Workshop and STABLE certification required within 12 months.SAFER Technician certification preferred.Skilled in all aspects of perinatal care, labor support, delivery, and newborn assessment.Knowledge of sterile technique and sterile field maintenance is essential. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
