Staff Accountant

Our client is currently seeking a Sr. Staff Accountant

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in financial accounting, preferably within a financial institution.

Knowledge

• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Familiarity with relevant government regulations, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) , and applicable reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in related computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite .
• Awareness of Credit Union products and services is an advantage.

Skills & Abilities

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on financial analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Competence in operating standard office equipment (e.g., computer, peripherals, telephone, copier, calculator).
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects and tasks across departments and branches simultaneously.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
• Strong mathematical and bookkeeping skills, including advanced mathematical concepts.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient typing and data entry skills.
• Ability to prioritize, plan, and execute tasks effectively.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service.
