As a Garage Door Technician, you'll be the face of our company, ensuring every door operates smoothly, safely, and reliably. A Day in the Life

• The Morning Kickoff: You'll start the day by reviewing your route and loading the truck with the necessary panels, springs, and hardware.
• On the Move: You'll head to residential or commercial sites. Some jobs are quick fixes-realigning sensors or replacing a snapped cable-while others are full-scale custom installations.
• The Consultant Role: This is where you shine. You won't just "fix it"-you'll talk to the client. You'll explain why the door failed, educate them on maintenance, and suggest upgrades (like smart openers or better insulation) that add value to their home.
• Getting Creative: If a frame is rotted or a trim piece is wonky, you'll use your handyman skills to make it right rather than just "working around it."
• The Wrap-Up: You'll test every safety feature, collect payment, and head to the next challenge, knowing you left a home more secure than you found it.

Key Responsibilities

• Install & Repair: Hang new doors, frame openings, and secure hardware. Repair openers, springs, cables, and tracks.
• Custom Work: Perform glass installation, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing for high-end or custom designs.
• Educate & Sell: Use your expertise (and sales flair) to guide clients through their options. If you can explain the technical "why" in a way that builds trust, you'll be highly successful here.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Read schematics, use welding/fabrication tools when needed, and handle basic electrical wiring for motor systems.
• Safety First: Maintain a clean workspace and perform heavy lifting safely.

Qualifications

• The "Handy" Factor: Proven experience in construction, remodeling, or carpentry. If you've successfully tackled DIY home renovations or professional handyman work, you're our ideal candidate.
• Mechanical Aptitude: You're comfortable with power tools, welding equipment, and reading blueprints or technical drawings.
• Communication Skills: Prior sales or customer service experience is a major plus. You should be comfortable "talking shop" with homeowners and helping them make informed decisions.
• Physical Capability: Ability to handle heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions.
• Reliability: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
