Vigilant pre and post-operative care is provided to outpatients and inpatients undergoing scheduled or emergency surgery by more than 20 surgical and procedural services. This unique team also supports the mission of the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center through their clinical flexibility outside of traditional peri-anesthesia care, including procedural space and patient overflow from the Trauma Resuscitation Unit. Not your typical PACU. Nurses must be competent in titration of vasopressors, airway management, care of ventilated patients, blood product administration and fluid resuscitation. Special Equipment : Must have at least 2 years ICU experience. ICU + PACU is preferable, but if have to choose, I will choose ICU over PACU experience. #Tier2 Travel Compliance UMMS Policies: Local Rule : Unless job specifically says locals accepted , locals under 50 miles are not accepted (perm address 50+ miles from the hospital address). RTO: Max 7 days can be requested. If more than 4 consecutive days, an additional week must be added on to the back end on new contracts. Holiday RTO : Most locations and units will allow for one major holiday off during the winter season, refer to the individual job posting for specifics. Auto Offer Units: The candidate must accept without an interview. Scheduling Requests : Schedule restrictions cannot be requested or guaranteed. Float : Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope with no restrictions or special requests - travelers are first to float.
