Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their team. The primary responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, and documenting chief complaints. The role also involves reconciling patient medications, allergies, past medical/surgical history, and family history.

Key Responsibilities

• Rooming patients, taking vitals, and documenting chief complaints.
• Reconciling patient medications, allergies, past medical/surgical history, and family history.
• Performing point-of-care testing, including throat swabs, nose swabs, and urine specimen collection.
• Administering injections/medications (only if Certified).
• Providing administrative support during slow periods or provider absences, including answering clinical phone lines, answering result queries, pending refills to providers, managing faxes, and handling prior authorizations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• MA Diploma required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1+ years of experience.
• MA Certification Preferred.
• Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Background Preferred.
• EPIC Experience preferred.

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in a relevant field.

Schedule/Shift

5x8s - Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
