Experience: Six (6) months to three (3) years of nursing (RN) experience required. Five (5) plus years of direct experience preferred.

License: Current NYS RN License required.

Certifications: BLS Certification required. ACLS preferred.

Must-Have: Critical care float experience, BLS & ACLS certification, EPIC experience.

Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. The RN focuses on the prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response. Advocacy in the care of individuals and families is a key responsibility of the RN. The RN is accountable for compliance with standards of practice and professional development. This includes adherence to nursing practice acts, policies, and ethical codes. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Job responsibilities include assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. The RN manages a group of patients, serving as a primary or accountable nurse as designated. Education of patients and families in health promotion and disease management is essential. The RN utilizes knowledge of pharmacology to safely administer medications according to policy. Responsibilities include shared accountability for productivity and effective resource utilization. The RN complies with nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements. Active participation in improvement initiatives and peer review practices is expected. The RN engages in professional development and completes all mandatory education. Integration of nursing research and current evidence into practice is essential. The RN provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. All Client values must be followed. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
