Local Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

The role involves implementing occupational therapy treatment plans, supporting patients' mobility and daily living skills, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. This assignment offers competitive weekly compensation up to $2,100 and valuable clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
2. Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, coordination, and daily living skills
3. Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to support rehabilitation goals
4. Monitor patient progress and accurately document treatment outcomes
5. Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and adaptive strategies
6. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
7. Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
8. Support patients in achieving maximum independence and functional performance

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential
• Current California Occupational Therapy Assistant License required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills

Preferred Skills:

• Previous Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred
