Head of Supplier Crisis & Risk Management North America Location: Greensboro, NC, US 27409. Position Type: Professional. Salary: $140,670 to $156,864 per year. Job Description Lead the Crisis & Risk Management team within Volvo Group North America, driving performance in a dynamic environment. Manage resources with a growth mindset to handle risks and crises daily, securing deliverables to Volvo Group Trucks North America manufacturing plants and mitigating disruptions. Develop individual contributors to excel and take on new challenges. Oversee the Group Trucks Purchasing North America crisis governance structure and report status to executive management. Take the lead in severe supplier crises requiring cross‑functional resources, including consultants and other Volvo Group Purchasing departments, to support the line organization. Coordinate closely with Program & Volume Planning, Group Trucks Operations, Group Trucks Technology, and truck brands on crisis cases, mitigation activities, and potential operational impacts. Together with the Crisis Management Strategic Line, develop and implement the crisis management methodology and drive continuous improvement of crisis management processes. Qualifications Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Administration, or a related field and 5 years of experience performing crisis management in supply chain in the truck or automotive industry. Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following: Working in purchasing and procurement Managing and analyzing data, including Supplier Dispatch Precision, Backlogs, Parts Data, and Raw Material Source Expanding on concise reports and communicating to stakeholders, top management, and suppliers Applying lean manufacturing principles Must have 1 year of experience performing Supply Chain Mapping (Tier‑N) Experience may be acquired prior to completion of degree.
