Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join the Labor and Delivery unit, providing compassionate, patient-centered care to mothers and newborns. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing obstetric and neonatal emergencies while ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients. Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor maternal and fetal health throughout labor and delivery.
- Administer medications and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families on labor, postpartum care, and newborn care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient care accurately and maintain comprehensive medical records.
- Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies, demonstrating clinical expertise and composure.
- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required; NRP certification is preferred.
- Proven experience in labor and delivery, obstetrics, or neonatal care.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills.
