About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Med Surg Resource Team/Float Pool Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Day/Night Rotate Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Medical Surgical setting License: Active RN License (ND or Compact state) Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS Must-Have: Active RN License Minimum of 1 year Med Surg experience Experience in Float Pool is preferred Experience working within a level 2 trauma center or higher Experience in a busy hospital with over 250 beds Epic EMR experience required Willing to float within MedSurg Cluster and between campuses Head-to-toe assessments, medication administration by various routes, care plan formulation/documentation, wound/line/drain care required Description: Nurses must badge in and out of the facility. Scrubs should be Navy Blue. Candidates located within a 60-mile radius cannot be accepted. Local travel rate applies for those living between 60 to 80 miles. First-time travelers are not accepted unless their primary experience is with Resource Pool/Float Pool. Daily calls will be made to confirm the unit for assignment. Floating to various units and departments is required. Med-surg units may include oncology, general med-surg, trauma med-surg, cardiac, neuro, observation, and medical behavioral. Nurse to patient ratio ranges from 1:4-5 from 7 am to 11 pm and 1:5-6 from 11 pm to 7 am. Training includes shifts on different medical-surgical units and campus tours. Cancellation policies allow for up to 12 hours of cancellation every 13 weeks.
