Sr. Accountant

The Senior Accountant prepares and maintains financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Prepares monthly balancesheet and income statement journal entries. Reconciles GLaccounts, including complex and intercompany accounts as assigned and teams with others to resolve reconciling items as needed Support month end process and closing of the books Assists with month end reviews and trend analysis Assists with month end inventory, revenue and costing reporting Research and analyze complex financial and accounting results and issues Assists with department expense discussions of budget to actuals as assigned Assist with operational adhoc reporting Assist in driving operational process improvements Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit. Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures. Handles stress in a professional manner, demonstrates the ability to get along with others, demonstrates successful attendance and punctuality, and works overtime / extra hours as required to meet business needs. Performs other related duties as assigned. REQUIRED SKILLS Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles Demonstrated ability to complete complex accounting functions Microsoft Excel and ERP system knowledge Organizationand time‑management Demonstrated history of meeting deadlines Team building and collaboration Verbal and written communication EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in accounting required At least five years of related experience required Manufacturingindustry experience highly preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
